Woman is the most important part of the family and society. Besides, doing household chores, she is taking responsibility of society also and she is ever  ready to do all the activities with complete dedication. But while struggling with her duties, she oftenly ignores her health and becomes prone to different diseases like hormonal imbalances, low back pain, cervical pain, urinary tract infections, kidney stones, hypertension, diabetes, obesity and many more. Therefore she must take care of her health and be aware about health issues. For that she has to be cautious about her diet. Here we bring some female friendly food that will take care of her health.

Here we bring some female friendly food that will take care of her health.

1. Fig

Figs stand for their incredible health benefiting properties. They are high in natural sugars and soluble fibers. They are rich in minerals including potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, vitamins A, E & K that contribute to health and wellness.

The fiber content in figs has been known to protect against breast cancers. After menopause, the hormonal balance in women can often fluctuate. The body's system are so interconnected that the hormones affects the immune system, which in turn affect the ability of antioxidants to fight free radicals, which are prime factors behind the development of cancer. So figs take care of defence mechanism by providing fiber to body. It controls hypertension and diabetes. Potassium, a necessary mineral for active women to ensure their muscle work well and be cramp free, is present in ample quantity in figs.

2. Flax seeds

Flax seeds are great for women's health.  Regular consumption may help reduce menopausal symptoms and can also help treating irregular periods and menstruation linked discomfort. Flax seed with its high concentration of lignans is a great choice for all women whether young, middle aged or older. It is a natural way to normalize the menstrual cycle, manage menopause and lower risk of osteoporosis, cancers and heart disease. In menstruating women who consumed 10 grams of flax seed on a daily, significant hormonal changes have resulted. Adding ¼ cup of flax seed to diet can help reduce the risk of cancer, heart diseases and osteoporosis.

3. Cranberries

The cranberry is best known for its role in preventing urinary tract infection in women with recurrent infections. The high level of anti oxidant proanthocyanidins in cranberries help to stop certain bacteria from adhering to urinary tract walls. They are low in calories and high in vitamin C, vitamin A and vitamin K. Chemicals present in cranberries prevent the multiplication of breast cancer cells.

4. Oats

Oats are one of the most famous breakfast choices. Oats are rich in a specific type of fiber called beta – glucan. This particulars type of fiber is know to help lower levels of bad cholesterol. One cup of dry oats contains 7.5 gms of fiber & the recommended daily intake of fibre is 25 grams for women. Increased intake of oat fiber can relieve irritability caused during menopause. Oats contain lignans a type of phyto estrogens, having good result during menopause. Another important mineral rich in oats is silicon which has a role to play in bone formation and thus helps in post menopausal osteoporosis. Oatmeal can soak up the excess oil on the skin and help prevent acne.

5. Walnuts

Walnuts contains good fats that is mono unsaturated and poly unsaturated fatty acids and essential fatty acid i.e. omega. They also contain iron, selenium, calcium, zinc and vitamin E. The good fat present in walnuts has shown to improve insulin, androgens and cholesterol level in women with polycystic ovarian diseases.

Eating a handful of walnut may fight both breast cancers and osteoporosis. In one study, just 2 ounces of walnuts per day helped delayed development of breast cancer and slowed tumor growth. Meanwhile, the other benefits of walnuts are good for pregnancy, because of presence of vitamin B complex.

6.  Yogurt

Yogurt is nutrient dense food containing high amount of protein, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc and vitamin B-12. Women who eat yogurt regularly generally have a better overall diet quality than those who don't consume yogurt.

Besides being nutritious and aiding in weight loss, eating yogurt regularly has a number of other health benefits such as preventing urinary tract infections and reducing severity of premenstrual syndrome. Some studies also indicate that eating yogurt every day may be effective in preventing vaginal yeast infection. Lactobacillus is rated possibly effective for vaginal yeast infection. A 2012 study found that mixture of yogurt and honey was actually more effective than an antifungal agent for the treatment of vaginal yeast infection in pregnant women.

7. Green leafy vegetables

Green leafy vegetables are  a major source of iron and calcium for any diet. Green leafy vegetables are rich in beta carotene which can also be converted into vitamin A and improve immune system. Enriched with iron content, green leafy vegetables like spinach, has natural source of calcium which are good for bone strength. Not just this, these leafy greens are loaded with magnesium, vitamin K, vitamin C and phytonutrients that provide a package for bone health. Green leafy vegetables also help to maintain hormones. So, add spinach and beans in diet as they keep female hormones in balance. Vegetables like caroot, kale have high level of estrogen level responsible for female health.

8. Coconut oil

Coconut oil contains natural saturated fats that increase the good HDL cholesterol in body. Coconut oil has anti bacterial, antiviral and anti fungal properties. Coconut oil is not just great for the skin and hair, it can also help to heal thyroid, lose weight, having more energy and fix the periods. The fatty acids in coconut oil actually help the hormones get in balance. It supports the formation, processing and elimination of estrogen and progesterone, leading to hormonal balance. 9. Aloe Vera

Those women who have a problem of a late periods or whose periods are irregular or having scanty menstruation should take aloe gel mixed with jaggery every morning on an empty stomach a week before the expected date. Aloe works to balance the secretion like estrogen and progesterone. The women who have excessive pain during menstruation such as stomach cramps, backache, abdominal distension etc. should take aloe gel with honey. Aloe is also used in the problem of leucorrhoea. It has antibacterial and anti fungal properties and can cure the vaginal infection and discharge. For those women who have pain in the breast after a still birth or a miscarriage, can apply semi- solid aloe gel over the breast and cover with cloth. It will reduce pain. It is extremely beneficial for skin and can repair skin fibers and tissue and hence is one of the best natural remedy to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

The anti bacterial properties of aloe vera gel are very effective in treating acne, boils and cysts on skin.
